Charity Projects in Pakistan
Bringing change to many lives!
Unite 4 Humanity have set up a lot of charity projects in Pakistan. We have successfully completed many, with some ongoing and some pending. Our charity work in Pakistan involves both continuous development and responding to any immediate emergencies.
Over the years conflicts between the government of Pakistan, the armed groups in North West Pakistan and the migration of refugees from war torn neighbouring Afghanistan has resulted in a mass exodus of families coming and settling from various parts of Pakistan.
This massive movement of people combined with a lack of investment from the government has resulted in areas falling behind in terms of Education, Infrastructure and Medical Facilities.
Over the years the people of Pakistan have been hit hard by unrelenting monsoon floods and earthquakes. Unite 4 Humanity always tries its best to respond quickly to these disasters. Our emergency program consists of providing shelter, medical aid, education, nutrition and other humanitarian relief to the victims of these natural disasters.
Pakistan has the world’s sixth biggest population, however a fifth are still living in poverty. Women face massive challenges in Pakistani society. Although they make up around 60% of the agricultural workforce, men own most of the land.
Despite the law, many underage girls are forced to get married and their families have to pay hefty dowries. There are more than five million children out of school in Pakistan – the second highest of any country – and only 63% of young women are able to read and write, compared with 78% of young men.
