Sponsor Start Up Businesses

Provide Long Term Financial Support For Poor & Needy Families

Unite 4 Humanity always strives to encourage poor & needy families to start their own business. Even if it is just a small stall, rickshaw car or sewing machine to sew clothes. We are aiming to sponsor start-up businesses across the world especially in poor and developing Muslim communities.

Often people in poor and developing communities are very enthusiastic and hard-working but due to the lack of access to investment and opportunities their talent goes to waste.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Sponsor a Sewing Machine Project

As part of our supporting the startup businesses, we’ve launched ‘Sponsor a Sewing Machine’ project. As part of this project, our aim is to support poor and needy women & girls so that they can provide an extra pair of hands to financially support their families.

We regularly distribute sewing machines amongst these families in Pakistan, Azad Kashmir, Yemen as well as in Africa.

Each sewing machine costs about £70. Whilst £70 is not a lot of money here in the UK but this is a big sum of money for the families who struggle for food on a daily basis.

Unite 4 Humanity’s Sponsor Start Businesses Project

Approximately 1.2 billion people in the world live in extreme poverty (less than one pound per day). Poverty creates ill-health because it forces people to live in environments that make them sick, without food, decent shelter, clean water or adequate sanitation.

Through sponsoring start-up businesses, Unite 4 Humanity aims to create a sustainable environment in these countries where families don’t have to rely on help from charities in the future.

Our aim is fund projects and help small entrepreneurial businesses come up with ideas to provide for themselves and contribute to their local community.

What will we do with the Donations Towards Sponsor Start Businesses Project?

With our 100% donation policy we’ll invest your money carefully into the long-term projects, which will benefit communities for years to come. We aim to deliver one or a combination of the following, depending on the local community needs.

  • Help Entrepreneur’s Setup Businesses
  • Purchase of Livestock
  • Fund Training Programmes
  • Setup Agricultural Projects
  • Buy Equipment for the existing businesses to help them grow
  • Fund University Education especially in medical and engineering courses
