Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Unite 4 Humanity - 100% Donation Policy Charity receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Ramadan – A Beautiful Time of the Year

Ramadan is the most beautiful time of the year. Everyone feels so joyous and relaxed, even though they haven’t eaten for hours and not even had a sip of water for all day. This is a blessing from Allah. He gives patience to His slaves during this blessed month that even in the harsh weather conditions and with empty stomachs, they stay away from the things which He has made lawful in other days.

Ramadan a Month of Sharing and Caring

Like many previous year, Unite 4 Humanity will be organising Iftar dinners in various Muslim countries. Our aim is to sponsor iftar dinner for whole month in various communities of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and for Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh.

Sponsor an Iftar in Masjid Aqsa

As well as sponsoring iftar dinners in Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Bangladesh, we will be sponsoring an iftar in the third holiest masjid (Masjid Al-Aqsa).

Alhamdulillah, this will be our 5th continuous Ramadan to sponsor an iftar in the Masjid Aqsa. Previously we have provided the iftar for the 27th Ramadan, where we provided the congregation with dates, water and Palestinian food.

Sponsor Iftar Dinners in Mosques

What is included in our Iftar Package?

Every country is different due to the difference in their traditional food. In general, our iftar package include:

  • Dates
  • Water (Juices/Squash)
  • Items from Traditional Food (e.g. Samosas, Pakoras & Curry)
  • Fresh Fruit

Virtue of Sponsoring Iftar Dinners

Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi

Previous Pious Generations Always Used to Organise Iftar

Abu al-Siwaar al-‘Adawi said:

Men from the tribe of Banu ‘Adiyy used to pray in this mosque and not one of them would break his fast on his own. If they found someone to join them they would eat with him, otherwise they would take their food out to the mosque and eat with the people, and the people would eat with them.

Feeding People for the Sake of Allah is an Act of Ibaadah

From the ibaadah of providing food for people stem many other acts of worship such as creating love and friendship towards those who are given the food, which is a means of entering Paradise.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“You will not enter Paradise until you truly believe, and you will not truly believe until you love one another.”

Narrated by Muslim
